Because spring is almost here, it’s time to bring out colorful bags and accessories and do away with the dark and neutral colors of the past season. Here are a selection of neon bags that will keep your spring, and even your summer, illuminated, bright and really fun:
The yellow brightness of this bag, which seems to be nearly bright and yellow as the sun, should mean that you will definitely not lose sight of it. The bag is by Charm & Luck.
* Boldly simple lines accented with radiating rows of studs give this Charm and Luck bag — and you — a unique style, and lots of room to carry the things you can’t live without. Neon yellow. Dimensions: 17″L x 9 1/2″W x 10 1/2″H; 10″ drop handle.
This turquoise Badgley Mischka hobo has the color of the sea. It’s so attractively summer and very, very festive. It would be perfect when worn with a white dress or shorts. This bag is available here.
* Bright and cheery patent leather! Details include double braided handles, zip top, zippered center compartment, goldtone hardware and logo plaque, plus lined interior with zip and cell pockets. Dimensions: 11″L x 9″W x 11″H. 4″ handle drop.
This Stalo Markides clutch is great for evening night outs during the spring and summer seasons, such as a resort party. It’s definitely not understated….but you can wear this with something simple, like a long flowing white dress. The clutch is available at LuisaViaroma.
What do you think of this very colorful choices? Are you bold enough to carry them?

Hello all my fashionistas and fashion gurus I have some great news straight from Paris Fashion Week. You know I had to shred some light on the hottest fashion trends on the runway! You know you love! Lets get started shall we…
Givenchy Meets Religion at Paris Fashion Week

Givenchy is add a bit of religion to Paris Fashion week. I love the Jesus references and the simplistic color theory. Givenchy men’s line did not disappoint with great tailored pants and coats with be great addition to the any man’s closet. I do not like the black tight that was present in the collection but I guess that was for dramatic effect. I just can’t see men wear tights. So for all my fashion forward gents out there, the tailor look is in!Love that tee BTW!
Bride of Frankenstein Meets Classic Equestrian was a Hit for Dior Haute Couture

I am loving the Dior Haute collection by John Galliano. It is fresh with a touch of horror. I love the vest and the fabulous equestrian boots. I thought that the Victorian style can translate into some fab piece in your closet. I would look at the Dior equestrian boots, chunky amber necklaces, and red lipstick! Got to love Dior! I never saw such a wearable Couture collection as separates.
Jean Paul Gaultier has some Fight in Him

Blood, gloves, and scars is not something you would typically describe a Gaultier collection but you will now. I love this collection. The leather jackets in this collection are boss! I have a feeling that hoodies will be integrated into the every man’s wardrobe from casual to the night life! I am also seeing that form fitted pants are in. Neutral colors are a big hit for men, no pastels in this collection. I also love the futuristic touches in the collection. This collection is totally wearable and chic. Motorcycle jackets are always a item to have. Side Note Check out Jean Paul’s leather carry on bag in this collection, very nice and functional!

The Gilt Groupe, which holds sample sales regularly, is where fashionistas go to get the latest must-have items. The site offers everything handbags to gowns, all designer quality, and mostly with name brands and their high noon sale (which starts at noon, of course), have the most valuable discounted prices.
The site is holding this sale until Jan 13th, but unfortunately, in the middle of all of this, one unsatisfied buyer was apparently completely disappointed and left the following feedback or comment — “The COLE HAAN handbag I ordered ISN’T REAL COLE HAAN. I will keep it BUT SHAME ON YOU.”
Gabriela Meriles, the company’s Communications Director has released this statement: “We have already contacted the customer who wrote the initial complaint and are waiting to hear back as to why she believes she has a fake. As we do not work with third parties and deal with all the designers directly we certainly stand behind the product’s authenticity.”
Its CEO, Susan Lyne also assured its online shoppers that the company is not into selling fake merchandise and will treat this as a special case, they will surely watch over.
This is the section where the customer left her message which has sparked a frenzy among the site’s many shoppers.

I would like to think that Zappos is one of the more successful online shopping sites in existence. But even with this success, the company has come up with an old school idea for marketing by mailing out catalogues. The company has planned to send some 750,00 copies of this, according to the New York Times article.

In these times when printed materials are slowly losing ground over the internet, this idea is actually quite refreshing. It’s also very clever as more people will be pushed to shop at Zappos online as a result of this. Zappos’ marketing, Aaron Magness, knows its target market so well when he said, “Different people respond to different media.”
The catalogue features collections by Cole Haan, Guess, Calvin Klein, Lucky, Stila, True Religion and Stuart Weitzman.
And you can actually see the contents online, too via Digital Zappos.

Inspite the economic downturn, Hermes is standing ground and sticking to its business strategy by not getting into mass production. This move, according to Hermes CEO Patrick Thomas, is so the brand’s maintains its prestige as a high profile product. He says, “If we put a big H on a bag, we will sell millions. But what if to grow faster you compromise on quality and the finishing of the product? Then people will begin to say, ‘Ah, you know Hermès is no longer the same.’ That’s why we should never do that. It would be a capital sin when you have an asset, a jewel like Hermès.”
Their business strategy seems to still work as people still do look out for their new releases and the company still keeps some 2,000 artisans who handcraft their bags.
Thomas adds, “If people buy an Hermès bag, they know it is going to last them for 40 years. The bag isn’t an expense, it’s an investment.”

There are several tweets about it. Apparently, Chanel and Louis Vuitton handbags are being sold at the Costco Warehouse Shopping Club in New York’s East 16th Street. It’s the newest Costco location in the city.
Found at the store was a classic Chanel Flap sold for $1999. There were also unconfirmed reports that an LV Speedy was also sold in the store earlier. The Costco is packed with these designer handbags. Spotted were a lot of Burberry, Coach and Tod’s.
Is this some kind of a new arrangement between the fashion brands and Costco? It seems as thought the $50 membership fee to shop at is stores has just become so worth it!

Leather fashion brand Louis Vuitton will be turning 150 this month and as a way of commemorating this, the North American branch of the leather brand known for its hard-frame luggage and fantastic bag designs and quality, will be donating a huge percentage of November’s sales to the American Red Cross. The company will be focusing sales on these four special bags for this charity event: Keepall, Noe, Alma, and Speedy.
Daniel Lalonde, President & CEO of Louis Vuitton North America says: “The Red Cross is committed to preventing and appeasing the sufferance of people weakened by instability and ever-growing de-humanization of our society. Louis Vuitton is honored to be aligned with such a significant and impactful organization.”
Keepall was originally part of LV’s truck collection and is now used popularly as a weekend tote bag. The Speedy is essentially the bag many people will recognize as LV, while the other two, the Noe and the Alma, are also classic LV’s.
Elsewhere, celebrations will include fashion collaborations among a pool of designers. The pieces they will create will be auction offed at Sotheby on Nov 2010.
