Planning a wedding this spring and looking for some new ideas for bridal headpieces and veils? Check out New York’s Bridal Runway for 2010 and you will be inspired by innovative styles to update your traditional look.
Here are 3 key trends to look for:
- Bird-cage veils are the retro-alternative to long, trailing veils.
- Add a whimsical touch by placing feathers on your headpiece.
- Try a hat on for size! Designers incorporated timeless Derby hats with the option of a veil for a fashion-forward look.
You can combine various ideas, but don’t go trend-overboard. Think about the style and vibe of your wedding. Having an outdoor wedding? Consider the hat for a unique 20’s look. You could also put a splash of romance into a simple, yet chic dress by entwining feathers throughout your hairstyle!

Here’s another unique gift suggestion for Valentine’s for your fashionista girlfriend. I personally like these bags because they stand out and really have character and style in them, apart from being very useful and roomy.

These are bags designed by Vicki Vlachakis who has been a designer for Mercedes Benz. The bag designs are a mixture of feminine/masculine and edgy…and you can see a bit of the automobile influence on it. The bags are also made eco-friendly, designed from sustainable products. There are many reds, whites and browns to the selection, so it rather looks very exclusive and of limited quality. This set is apart from other branded, although, mass produced bags.
If you’re looking for ideas on what to give your wife or girlfriend, I can tell you that as a woman, you can never go wrong with a bag.
You can get this at NooniBag.

With the tail of winter still in effect, fashion dictates that wearing tights is not only trendy and stylish but necessary. Slim women can actually wear their short skirts even when it’s freezing outside, because wearing tights under it keep it warm and comfortable. But how about those not so blessed with a pair of slim legs? Can they wear skirts with tights too?
Look at some of these choices of tights for women with real curves. The plus factor? They come in really fabulous shades, so that even in the dead of winter, there’s still a hint of color for the wardrobe.
We Love Colors delivers exactly just that — colors. Just look at their selection. I think they have everything from darkest gray to the brightest yellow. And these tights fit women of at least 375 pounds in weight.
Sock Dreams also have a cool selection of tights, in several amazing colors, for women of about 200 pounds. What’s great is that a pair only costs $24.
