After taking just one look at the Elie Saab Spring 2012 Couture collection, it’s obvious that the dresses will soon be making their way down the red carpet at the Academy Awards.

These are the type of gowns that were made for an award show, and were simply created to make it to the top of a best dressed list. The elegant creations are simply stunning and honestly some of the most breathtaking designs to come down the runway since, well, Elie Saab’s couture show last year.

The Lebanese designer has mastered the ethereal look, and rather than sticking to his signature nude and blush-toned gowns, the Elie Saab Spring 2012 Couture collection is full of pastel tones like mint green, seafoam blue, cotton candy pink and canary yellow.
