The bobtail, or bun, is a hairstyle that’s traditionally known to be worn by our grandmothers but fashion, naturally, has found a way to keep this style trendy and young-looking. In fact, I’ve seen a lot of young celebrities wearing their hair up in a bun, and wearing it well with fashionable clothes.

The bun is usually reserved for evening parties. Tied up sleek and neat, it shows off a woman’s face and neck really well. But for daytime wear, the bun looks awesome too. By letting some strands lose, the style looks laidback and casual, as well as really sexy.

Buns can be worn with or without bangs. It can be worn with two sets of buns, or tipped to one side, for style. Adornment such as laces, ribbons and flowers also keep this style updated.
