Macy Unveils Sketches of Madonna’s Daughter’s Material Girl Fashion Line

So, it wouldn’t be surprising if the icon comes out with her own fashion line. She actually has a few collections to her name and her influential style is copied and imitated by plenty of people.
Next to Madonna, the most likely successor to her mark and imprint when talking about trends, would have to be her daughter, Lourdes. Now a budding teenager, Lourdes is beginning to be interested with what her mother has also been up to.
This week, Macy unveils sketches of clothes for the very first line of Material Girl, a teen wear clothing line which is also a collaboration by mother and daughter.
The sketches show fashion forward styles for the younger generation. It’s fresh but vintage, a mix of old and new.
The clothes will carry a price tag that falls between $12 to $40 — very affordable pieces that I’m sure many mother and daughters all over America will also like to buy.
This is actually more of Lourdes’ inception, with her mother just there for guidance and support. Says Madonna of Material Girl fashion line: “I think this line is absolutely an extension of her taste. We like to combine a plaid or a flannel with a lace, or leather with lace or rhinestones. So we mix and match textures and fabrics and elements that are both masculine and feminine.”
Material Girl will be available at Macy’s beginning August of this year.
