Sex and The City’s $10Million Budget for Wardrobe

It pays to be Carrie Bradshaw. And it pays to be friends with her.
In Touch Magazine has reported that the actresses in the movie, Sex and The City 2, have accumulated at least ten million’s worth in wardrobe, accessories and shoes.
Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, Kim Cattrall and Cynthia Nixon wore about forty plus costumes with designer tags from Pucci, Halston and the late Alexander McQueen. Stylist Philip Bloch, who was a regular on the set, estimated the total cost of the wardrobe and exclaimed that some of the clothes the women wore for the movie cost more than an SUV.
Patricia Field supervised the costumes, as she did in the series and in the first movie. She is famous for mixing low-end and high-end stuff, giving it all an air of sophistication and trend.
But the clincher is, the ladies actually got to keep most of the stuff they wore for the movie, making this deal even sweeter. It’s no wonder they are willing to do a sequel and perhaps even more movies later, even if they are aging.
