Some changes are going on in Bulgari and the Bally brand.
Catwalk Queen TV reports that premiere jewelry and watch brand Bulgari has just hired Matthew Willamson as its designer. He has been enlisted to develop the brand’s latest handbag collection, geared for Spring and Summer of 2011. The collection will then be unveiled in Milan by September, in time for Fashion Week. The collection should reflect the designer’s sense of color, according to Bulgari’s CEO.
This must then mean that we are to expect some really fancy, bright and colorful handbags from Bulgari, which I think is a departure from their classic designs.
On the other hand, Bally has hired the Aquascutum boys, Michael Herz and Graeme Fidler to replace its former creative director, Brian Atwood. The boys were tapped to create a new line of ready-to-wear for the Swiss Brand.
