Vivienne Westwood Gets Relevant

To support the cause for Climate Change, British designer Vivienne Westwood has designed a limited edition t-shirt in collaboration with Anvil Knitwear. The design bears words like “ACT FAST/SLOW DOWN” and “stop climate change”, which hopes to send out a message and encourage others to take a stand on reforestation.

Although, according to Vogue UK, the shirt is not going on sale as of yet, but will hope to do so in the future.

I guess these shirts were distributed at the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen last month. Although personally, I find the design really generic and simple. But I guess the most important thing to consider is the message it carries.

According to Kevin Conrad, executive director of the Coalition for Rainforest Nations and Papua New Guinea’s Special Envoy Ambassador for Environment and Climate Change — “We are truly honoured to have Vivienne and Anvil supporting the rainforest cause. We hope that the launch of these fabulous T-shirts will help draw more attention to deforestation and the plight of our citizens who are now on the frontline in the battle against climate change.”
