Trend Alert: Sandals With Socks
The fashion runway is reviving an old style that was so popular back in the early 90’s. Remember how people used to wear socks with their sandals? Yes, that style is back and back in a more sophisticated way as the sandals now come in heels (as opposed to last decades flat and laidback Birkenstocks), and the socks come in really trendy and fashionable prints and it’s also textured.
The choice are now varied. If you’re the type who wants to experiment with your look, you can mix and match different sandals with those pretty, textured socks. The socks also help to make the sandals more comfortable. Wear this style with short skirts for a more stylish look, but be very careful not to look as though you dressed up in your grandmother’s clothes.
The shoes and socks look better when they come in similar hues and color, to give symmetry and to let your legs look longer. But you can wear bold colors together, like a deep blue pair of socks with a dark blue sandals. You can replace socks with tights, when the weather is colder.
Platform and chunky sandals worked best for this style. It’s like a salute to the old classics and a great transitional look.
