Fashion and Design World Today

I would like to think that over the last decade, Christina Aguilera’s style have also matured. She was this pop princes masquerading as a Showgirl and I know at one point, the vampy, slutty look, has remained her trademark for years. Since her last album, playing mother and wife slowed her down for awhile and I’ve seen her dressed in jeans and sneakers…..but always with that red lipstick.

Which brings me to this look…

Christina has obviously slimmed down. Perhaps, because she is starring in a movie where she plays a burlesque dancer, and that kind of body called for it, but she looked a lot better with a little weight on her. With her thinner face, the red lipstick really pops out. Complimented with a pink blusher, a very pale face (concealer?) and that amount of make up on the eyes…Christina hasn’t actually transformed herself. She still looks off. If she was channeling burlesque queen, Dita Von Teese, it didn’t work.

The pixie bob doesn’t look good on her, too, to be honest. She might as well just have worn a wig. The dress may be couture fashion but somehow it doesn’t deliver that.

The only thing I like about her style is her shoes. Which will probably look awesome on someone else’s feet or wardrobe.

I’m not sure if Christina is aiming for “Hot” but this sure isn’t coming off in the hot scale. Not surprising though, she has had a lot of fashion misses before.
