The Gilt Groupe, which holds sample sales regularly, is where fashionistas go to get the latest must-have items. The site offers everything handbags to gowns, all designer quality, and mostly with name brands and their high noon sale (which starts at noon, of course), have the most valuable discounted prices.
The site is holding this sale until Jan 13th, but unfortunately, in the middle of all of this, one unsatisfied buyer was apparently completely disappointed and left the following feedback or comment — “The COLE HAAN handbag I ordered ISN’T REAL COLE HAAN. I will keep it BUT SHAME ON YOU.”
Gabriela Meriles, the company’s Communications Director has released this statement: “We have already contacted the customer who wrote the initial complaint and are waiting to hear back as to why she believes she has a fake. As we do not work with third parties and deal with all the designers directly we certainly stand behind the product’s authenticity.”
Its CEO, Susan Lyne also assured its online shoppers that the company is not into selling fake merchandise and will treat this as a special case, they will surely watch over.
This is the section where the customer left her message which has sparked a frenzy among the site’s many shoppers.
