Looking nice and trendy in ruffles can quickly become a fashion don’t if you do not know how to do it right. Ruffles are kind of tricky because they actually do not compliment some of our body parts very well. You could end up looking like a lost clown than a fashionista.

Ruffles on blouses — if you are big breasted, avoid ruffles that go along the bust line. The ruffles will tend to highlight what is already and you will most certainly don’t want too much of it. Instead wear a ruffled skirt, or top sleeves. In the same manner, if you have big arms, especially the upper arm, stay away from tops with ruffled sleeves as this tends to expand you even more.

Ruffles on accessories and shoes — they do look nice and pretty but too much can be very dangerous. One or two layers is enough, it should already give your look that extra oomph. It’s the same way with shoes…one two many layers and you would have overdone the look. Keep this in check to avoid becoming a fashion disaster.
