Zappos Launches Catalogue

But even with this success, the company has come up with an old school idea for marketing by mailing out catalogues. The company has planned to send some 750,00 copies of this, according to the New York Times article.

In these times when printed materials are slowly losing ground over the internet, this idea is actually quite refreshing. It’s also very clever as more people will be pushed to shop at Zappos online as a result of this. Zappos’ marketing, Aaron Magness, knows its target market so well when he said, “Different people respond to different media.”
The catalogue features collections by Cole Haan, Guess, Calvin Klein, Lucky, Stila, True Religion and Stuart Weitzman.
And you can actually see the contents online, too via Digital Zappos.
