Mini skirts are making a comeback this season and are styled more sophisticated than before. Anyone can wear them….it is not always for those with a nice pair of legs only. You can wear mini-skirts in many different ways and still look really fashion forward. The only problem with mini-skirts though is that it bears the fine line between slutty and sophisticated.

What is the proper way to wear mini-skirts? Here are some tips for a lovelier, more stylish you:

  • If you don’t have the legs to show, don’t worry… wear mini-skirst over opaque tights. This is especially nice if you plan to don the short skirt in the office. You don’t have to worry about dressing inappropriately since the tights would help make the look more acceptable.
  • Show off your shoes. You don’t necessarily have to wear the skirt to just flaunt your legs, you can show off a fabulous pair of boots are a sexy sandal slingback.
  • Experiment with other mini-skirt style. The traditional one is a simple cut, but there are many different styles today with layers and textures, that either highlight the best features of your body or hide your flaws. You can look especially dainty and feminine with soft, dainty ruffled skirts or edgy and urban chic with rugged, embellished, teared mini-skirt.
  • Oversized tops usually go well with mini-skirts. Wear your boyfriend’s shirt, and you’ll see how cute this look can pull. Wear vests or coats over the skirt. Don’t be afraid to try something new. You just might see that the mini-skirt can be as versatile as denims, too.
