While New York and Paris may be the answer to most fashion insiders ideas of where to go, Vancouver wants in. They threw a version of fashion week BC Fashion Week starting on September 28, 2009.
Brolik Productions, a full-service branding and interactive agency in Philadelphia announced they have been signed on to promote Philadelphia’s inaugural Fashion Week. Brolik is responsible for the production of a TV spot that will be shown on cable TV networks two weeks leading up to the event which will take place October 8-10. In addition they are responsible for handing interactive media production and management for the event.
The commercial itself portrays a red carpet wrapping the city towers while illuminating the surrounding buildings, and moves to the energetic beat of “Flash” by Philadelphia artist Tu Phace. The creative for the commercial was inspired by idea of the inaugural fashion week coming to Philadelphia and the hype spreading rapidly throughout the city.
The commercial will be shown on regional networks, as well as the PFW website, and at locations throughout the city, such as the Piazza at Schmidts. Comcast Spotlight in conjunction with Brolik helped to secure the media deal on behalf of Fashion Week.
Fuzzy Fashionista: ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ Is Inspiring Designers
While many people look to the television or cinema for culture and fashion ideas and inspiration, Where The Wild Things Are is inspiring some pretty funky fashions. Some are pretty fun and the designs are actually pretty cool, others may not fit outside a Halloween get together.
Now, admittedly I’m with Carrie Bradshaw when it comes to shoes. I love heels, the only problem is my already taller than average frame tends to create an ‘Amazonian Effect’. Which wouldn’t be a issue if I were a little shorter. If you are lucky enough to be able to wear them, super high heels are being seen everywhere and they are the biggest trend in shoes at the moment. Think about 5 to 7 inches in height (yikes!).
