Recessionista Trend Steady, Though Economy is Growing
August 11 | Posted by Dawn | Clothes, Fashion News, Wardrobe Tags: 2009, comeback, economy, fashion designer, Fashion Designers, recession, style, suits, trend, trendsEven though recent reports has the recession dissipating steadily, it still seems that the biggest trend is recessionista style.
Getting a lot of style out of spending very little. While most women have their own ways of beating the economic blues, many are discovering their own ways to save big bucks while they spend. Some swear by ‘investment pieces’ a small number of high end pieces that are able to go with an assortment of different looks.
Others opt for the thrift shop approach. With stores like Goodwill having an amazing amount of names and trends for next to nothing.
Either way the same goal right now is finding the contemporary fashions, which as a sign of the times are all the classic pieces.
Regardless, the primary driving trend are mostly classic pieces. Pinstriped suits are huge for fall, alongside other dark and classic options. These are the steady go-to pieces that most people already have in their wardrobe.
Another huge comeback is a simple double breasted suit jacket, with the big names like Prada sporting the classic looks.
