Valentino Fall 2009 Show, Paris

Creative directors, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli for Valentino, showcased a bolder and gutsier collection at the recent fashion show in Paris for the brand’s Fall 2009 collection. The collection included lots of black and browns, a selection of minis, ruffles, layers, laces and asymmetrical patterns.
The duo also picked out brave new concepts that included over the top booties and ball gowns with weirdly sculptured shapes.
The collections were shown in a really dramatic stage that had a bit of that midnight romance ambiance as giant screens projected the clothes up close.
Missing from the line-up though was Valentino’s signature red dress but the duo of Chiuri and Piccioli did more than enough to come out with a successful runway show.
