Is the 90’s Grunge really back in fashion?
The style that stronly identifies with icons like Kurt Cobain and gave model, Kate Moss, a familiar signature look, is apparently back in the fashion scene. It actually never really went away and has evolved through the years. This time around, it is back in a bigger, grander way, as the current grunge look is also a mix of chic and glam as opposed to the unwashed style of the 90’s.
At a recent event, grunge fashion presented less of the thrift-shop rag version and more of a designer finesse, with a bit of the vintage, rock glam, urban grunge. It’s a mix and match that has never looked better! It has the same air of attitude, though.

To get the grunge look of today, try the following:
- pair your leggings or leather pants with trusty Doc Martens or moccasin boots.
- pair the same footwear with earthy colored shirts
- wear ethnic or floral dresses with the booties.
- showcase your flair with a pair of shredded jeans matched with satin blouse.
- hair should remain undone
- go for smokey eye make-up
