According to reports, if the fashion brand by designer Christian Lacroix is not going to get a reprieve by this month, it may possibly close its doors to about 112 employees. The company has since been trying to rebuild after a series of failures and flops.
Administration was embattled with a series of changes in leadership before it was finally bought by Falic in 2005. The perfume line “C’est La Vie” wasn’t marketable enough and the ready to wear brand, “Bazar”, was slowly phased out.
According to the man himself, Christian Lacroix, “In 22 years we have well and truly put ourselves on the map, but the business side has never been up to the mark. I think we have never achieved the right relationship with our shareholders.”
The Lacroix brand was built in 1987.
