Hot Or Not: The Comeback of Whitney Houston
Well, it is undeniable that Whitney Houston was one of the greatest icons of the 80’s. She was not only a very talented singer who has given us ten folds of hit songs, she was also a style icon, having started out as a model before she launched her music career.
These days, the diva is back in the headlines, after quite a long absence. She is launching her comeback album officially this fall, but she has already started gracing parties and events celebrating her return.
Whitney is seen in a New York City party held for her recently, wearing an all-black ensemble, accented only by silver jewelry and a spectacular black and silver heels.
She is definitely back on track! And what a big improvement from what she looked like while in semi-retirement, huh? The award winning singer is looking really happy, well-adjusted and contented, after everything that went on with her life.
Of her return, and in effect, semi-retirement from private life, this is what the singer says to MTV:
“I am not geared for it. It goes along with the territory. I’m still going to remain the very quiet, private person I’ve been for the last 10 years. I just want to be recognized for my music and for what it does and how it inspires people and how it makes people feel as opposed to talking-about-Whitney-all-the-time kind of thing.”
Whitney’s latest album took three years to prepare and is still undergoing through some last minute tweaking.
Look for it in stores Sept. 1st.
