Trend Watch: Cropped Tops
Maybe because keeping cool this summer season is essential or because fashion is simply an evolution of styles and the design….guess what is coming back to the fashion scene?
It’s this year’s hot, hot selection of cropped tops!
This shirt, which reminds me of Madonna’s style and fashion sense from twenty five years ago, is seen worn by celebrities like Lindsay Lohan and Audrina Partridge. The cropped top was also seen at Alexander Wang’s recent runway show.
Not everyone can get on board this trend, though. As it was from two decades ago, only the daring and baring can pull this kind of look together. And even then, putting together a hot and sexy cropped top number can either be a good thing or bad thing.
Cropped tops would look good on women with to-die-for bodies. Someone 40ish may get away with it, as long as she has a very toned chest and stomach area (think Sarah Jessica Parker). Wear this with a high waisted shorts, pants or skirt and it would look smashing.
