Teka Eyewear Wins Best New Product Award At Vision Expo East 2009
Teka Eyewear, SoHo, New York won Best New Product in Vision Choice Awards 2009. The Award was presented to Teka Eyewear, at the International Vision Expo East in the Jacob K. Javits Center.
The latest breakthroughs in frames, accessories, lenses, and equipment were unveiled at the International Vision Expo East. All members of the ophthalmic industry, including optometrists, opticians, ophthalmologists, retailers, and technicians were invited to review the new products and rate them. Teka Eyewear, was voted Best Product of the Year by both the consumers and the media present at the expo.
Voters were amazed with the unique approach that was taken to display the new products in the new product gallery showcase. Live snakes, exotic driftwood, and unique stones were used to reflect the leather, exotic woods and aluminum materials used to create the new eyewear product. Teka’s international models were seen walking the show floor with live boa constrictors wrapped around their arms. Famed aquarium and terrarium design firm, Okeanos Aquascaping, was commissioned to design and construct the display.
