A Run Down of Fashion Week
Jil Sander had a great collection full of minimalist style at Fashion week in Milan, Italy. It is sheath and fitted for today. With the economy in the trash, the minimalist look is great. To achieve this, just look for great and simple pieces with a splash of color. The use of little makeup is a sign of the times and the emerging natural look for 2009.
Roberto Cavalli cancel his the catwalk show for his younger, Just Cavalli collection. Robert Cavalli reported that production and delivery delays by Ittierre SpA were the cause. As a matter of facts, Cavalli called a press conference about Ittierre SpA. Ittierre SpA went bankrupt earlier this year. Wow everyone is feeling the crunch these days! I hope that the fashion world can get through this storm! Good Cavalli. I hope that things will get better for you. You probably hope that the economy will heal too!
I love Chris Siriano. If you do not know whom Chris Siriano, he is the Season 4 winner of Project Runway. The best thing about Chris is use of diverse models. In the fashion today, many designers are not using women of diverse cultures but Chris Siriano is. I loved the use of neutral colors with an Egyptian flair. Rumor has it that Siriano has cut his prices in half to deal with the economic climate today.

Gucci is giving some great style without any fuss this year. This powerhouse of fashion is using all of the popular trends for this year.In the Gucci show, there are many asymmetrical patterns and cuts through out. The use of red lip stick, great eyes and simple hair and 80s influence silhouettes was all over the runway. This was a great treat for Gucci fans. I also love the belt. My predictions for the Gucci stable belt, a must have for your closet.
