Spring 2009 trend report
2009 is full of new clothing, a new president, new awareness of the environment, and new technology. Now I am going to show you the new trends of 2009. According to Style.com, there are several great trends that will happen in the next few months. Get you pens and pads ready and take some notes, because here is the trends for Spring 2009!
This trend reflects the Depression era of the 1920’s. I think this trend is great especially in the poor economic times. The silver flapper dress by Alberta Ferretti is absolutely gorgeous. If you have the shape to pull this off by all means do it. I have a feeling that the 80’s and the 20’s with have a huge influence on fashion this year. So don’t be surprise that if you see short sleek hair and oversized necklaces. Also do not be surprise if you see a touch of neon colors. Magenta is deemed the color of 2009 by the Fashion gurus.
Great sports apparel is essential for 2009. This does not mean that you can wear an awful pair of sweatpants and think that you are “in”. Sports attire should be clean, well fitted, and appealing. I believe that you will feel good when you look good. So if you are trying to get healthy or maintaining your beautiful body, than this trend is crucial.
Geometric shapes are huge this year. Andy & Debb outfit above is a grand example of shapes in style. You will see shapes in every aspect of fashion this year. Whether it is large patterns or sharp angles, shapes are big. Also keep your eyes out for asymmetrical dresses. Purses will also reflect this trend too.
