James Jeans already has a good line of jeans and with an eco-friendly twist attached to it. But apparently, Seun Lim is far from satisfied and knows they can do better.
Already manufacturing jeans via organic denim and dyes, Lim thinks that they can raise it up a notch by applying more awareness when it comes enhancing the jean colors. And she has been working with an organic-certified wash-and-dye facility in Los Angeles that specializes in alternative processes.
“This season, we are trying to focus a bit more on the process of washes,” said Lim. “I wanted to step up and offer something different.”

We all know that cotton is normally taken from trees in the whole manufacturing process and while we all encounter holes in our socks due to wear and tear after some time, guess what? They are fashion statements in the making right now.
Of course this would depend on how they are made and if you look at them right now, they are trying to make a new trend in the fashion industry. Hole socks for the masses? Well as we see the frugal fashionistas today, anything is possible in the world of fashion. And seeing holes in socks is bound to be the next one, especially if you associate it with eco-friendliness.
Fashioning the socks ($28 to $30 US) from soft organic cotton, the pair aim to create sustainable fashion. Though they don’t claim these socks to be totally eco-friendly (the cotton is made in the U.S., then shipped to Switzerland to be made into yarn, then shipped back to North America) they offset the impact of the socks by partnering with Trees For The Future (treesftf.org) to plant a tree for every pair.
